Additional details Our 30 year Reunion is scheduled for the weekend of June 11 & 12th. It is quickly approaching! A Schedule of Events is listed below. If you have not already registered and need more information, please email us at MIHSClassof80@aol.com. We hope you will be able to join us!!

• Friday, June 11th: 7:00-11:00 pm, Beef O Brady’s, Merritt Island: Opening Get Together, no admission cost – food and drink will be available for you to purchase
• Saturday, June 12th: 10:30-11:30 am, Tour of newly renovated Merritt Island High School, no cost
• Saturday, June 12th: 12:30-3:30 pm, Lori Wilson Park Beach Gathering, no admission cost – bring your own food & drink
• Saturday, June 12th: 6:00 pm-midnight, Doubletree Hotel-Oceanfront in Cocoa Beach: Dinner/Dance, Cash Bar, Memory Table, $80 per person (discounted rates if needed may be available). Please send in your money as soon as possible to: MIHS Class of 80/Beth Ann Duncan, 5390 Lake Poinsett Road Cocoa, FL 32926. Please include a note with your Name, Email Address, and Phone Number.
If you would like to stay with us at the Doubletree Hotel-Oceanfront in Cocoa Beach, we have negotiated a discounted room rate for both Friday & Saturday nights ($119 per night for the Standard Room). They are holding a room block for us at this rate through May 14, 2010. You must make your own reservations by calling the hotel at 321-783-9222 or 800-552-3224. Please call now to reserve your room. There is no risk to you as there is a 48 hour cancellation policy. Also, if you reserve now, parking is complimentary.

Location We are having a Friday night event with the main reunion to be held Sat., June 12 at the Cocoa Beach Hilton, on the outdoor pool deck (indoor if bad weather). Special room rates at the Hilton have been set aside for the group. Call 800-526-2609 and request code WED for the block discount.

Additional details Dear Friends,

Our Merritt Island High School Class of 1980 30 year Reunion will be held the weekend of June 11 and 12, 2010. It is hard to believe that it is less than 4 months away! We have been busy trying to track down our classmates. We have found almost 200 from our class of 652 and we have tentative Reunion rsvps for almost 150 people. Now that we have the Reunion details confirmed, we are going to be stepping up our efforts to find our “lost” classmates. If you are interested in helping us, please let us know!

It is also time for us to ask for a financial commitment from those of you who plan on attending the Saturday night party. In order to keep the costs for the evening as low as possible, we have chosen to produce this Reunion on our own. Because of this, we must ask for your RSVP a bit earlier than if we had a Reunion Company taking care of the financial obligations for us. Below you will find a summary of the costs and due dates. You will see a big difference in cost based on when you make your payment. This is because we can not make our final plans without knowing how many of you will actually be attending. You will also find a description of our Refund Policy if you have to cancel and have chosen to pay in advance.

The Saturday party will be a Dinner/Dance at the Doubletree Hotel-Oceanfront in Cocoa Beach from 6 pm - midnight. We will enjoy a buffet dinner together and will have a DJ to host the party for good dancing opportunities. There will be a cash bar and we also plan on having a Memory Table and a Slide Show so we can take some fun trips down “Memory Lane”.

Party Costs:

• $65 per person if your payment is received by March 7, 2010
• $80 per person if your payment is received after March 7, 2010
• Discounted rates may be available if the cost to attend the party is financially prohibitive for you. Please let us know if this is the case as soon as possible.
• Please make your check out to MIHS Class of 80 Reunion / Beth Ann Duncan and mail to 5390 Lake Poinsett Road Cocoa, FL 32926. Please include a note with your Name, Email Address, and Phone Number.

Refund Policy:

• 50% refund if cancelled before April 15, 2010
• 25% refund if cancelled before May 15, 2010
• 0% refund if cancelled after May 15, 2010 (or at the discretion of the Reunion Committee based on available funds)

If you are planning to stay at the Doubletree, we have negotiated a significantly discounted rate for our classmates for Friday and Saturday night.
