Additional details Please Save the Date!! The Merritt Island High School Class of 1980: 30 year Reunion will be held the weekend of June 11 and 12, 2010.

• Friday night will be a Meet & Greet Open House at Beef O'Bradys in Merritt Island from 7 - 11 pm.
• Saturday night will be a Dinner/Dance at the Doubletree Hotel-Oceanfront in Cocoa Beach from 6 pm - midnight. We are estimating ticket cost to be between $55-$65 per person for the evening (depending on how many people attend).
• We are also planning a Family Event for Saturday afternoon, such as a beach gathering, poolside party or picnic. Another potential event is a tour of the newly refurbished Merritt Island High School. Let us know if you have any ideas to be considered for our Family Event.
• If you would like to stay with us at the Doubletree Hotel-Oceanfront, we have negotiated significantly discounted room rates for both Friday & Saturday nights. They are holding a room block for us at these discounted rates through December 31, 2009. Additional details are below. Please call now to reserve your room. After December 31, there will only be a small number of rooms available at the discounted rate.

We are trying to contact as many of our classmates as possible. Please forward this information to all the MIHS alumni you know. Ask them to send their contact information to: MIHSClassof80@aol.com to join our classmate data base.

Our reunion committee is growing and we are all very excited to make this a WONDERFUL weekend to celebrate the Mustangs! Please send us a "tentative rsvp" if you have not already done so. HOTEL INFORMATION - Doubletree Hotel Cocoa Beach Oceanfront:
If you are planning to stay at the Doubletree, we have negotiated a significantly discounted rate for our classmates for Friday and Saturday night. The discounted rate for the Standard Room is $119 per night and the Oceanfront room is $149 per night. You must make your own reservations by calling the hotel at 321-783-9222 or 800-552-3224. The deadline to get this rate is DECEMBER 31, 2009. After that, there will only be a small number of rooms available at this rate.
